"This was the second cover by Corben that I ever colored. It's worth noting that he was experimenting with 3-D software to create the medallion. I had a bit of help on this one. At one point, Corben sent me a reference showing how he had envisioned the rendering of the body. Because the image is so sculptural, I felt it worked best to leave it in greyscale while keeping the logo in full color for maximum impact."
