1980 Deus Irae

In this cover illustration for DEUS IRAE by Dick and Zelazny. Corben created the bush and tree foms by "chasing" a puddle of paint across the surface with a stream of compressed air. Another of Corben´s popular techniques in volves using crayon and airbrush in layers, and then melding the images together to make one picture.
